Big Brother is Watching

Wherever you go, whatever you do
Big brother is always watching

There are times I can get addicted to Google Earth/Maps looking around for hidden treasures to explore.  Suddenly I find my own Forsakenly Departed Pickup in a large parking lot.  Rusty, dented and without a tailgate, yet she still gets me where I want to go and brings me back safely.

Who would think that the Google Maps Vehicle would drive through mall parking lots.

Like it or not we're always being watched!

Abandoned JCP&L Substation

You're everything
I never knew
You're always wanted

And now that you're gone
I never knew what I had

She's Not Broken

She's not Broken
But still held Together
She still stands Tall
No matter the Weather

Those who pass By
They look the other Way
Ignoring Her
With nothing much to Say

When there's Trouble
In turmoil of Welter
Beside Themselves
They come seeking Shelter

She's not Broken
Yet looking so Tethered
Still Welcoming
No matter the Weather

Sheep Hill Observatory

The early morning mist was extremely heavy that the dew droplets instantly formed upon my beard.  Within a matter of a few minutes, the dense fog lifted above the trees.  A small rise in the woods opened up to reveal the Sheep Hill Observatory in Boonton, New Jersey.

Heaven's Wind

May the winds of Heaven
Blow softly through your hair
And whisper into you ear

For they are not with us
And far above up there
They still are beside you here

Choose the Right Track

Switching onto a new track can be very difficult.
Yet, at the same time it is difficult to remain on the same track.
One track is healthy as the other is deadly.
Choose the tracks that won't derail you.

The Witching Hour

It was at that very moment at 3:15AM when Liza awoke to see it there standing in her bedroom doorway.  A heavy black mass manifesting as it was drifting nearer.  There was no escape for the only way out was the second floor side window that was much to high to leap out of without bouncing off the bay window's corse metal roof plummeting to the ground below.

Liza closed her eyes as the mass appeared to be demonic standing before her rattling the bed off the hardwood floor with a rumble that was heard throughout the entire house.  She screamed at the top of her lungs as her parents ran into the room only to be thrown out and slammed against the wall with an unknown force.  Within a second everything stopped without any signs of anything happening.  The entire family left minutes later leaving everything behind.

From that moment on, no one has reentered the house in fear of something demonic might appear.  Yet, if you pass by any given night at the precise time of 3:15AM, you will see the drapes pulled back in the upper side window with a woman dressed in red looking out at you.

No Dumping

NO DUMPING

An old photograph found in a box tells a tale of someone being humorous.  I don't know who this is, where the location was or when it was taken.  The only one who would have known the person in this photograph has now unfortunately passed on over ten years ago.

In any event, this photograph holds a distinct quality that can never be reproduced.

A Lawyer

When a Lawyer has gone Home
And the children are in Bed
A stiff drink is mixed and Poured
That will soon go to his Head

He kicks of his leather Shoes
And stretches out on the Couch
He then rolls up one or Two
From his secret velvet Pouch

He dozes through Neverland
After an hour or Two
Dreams of the evil People
That will hire him to Sue

He wakes up in a cold Sweat
As he looks around in Gloom
Panting and gasping for Air
Thinking he's in a Courtroom

He looks down into his Glass
With nothing left but a Sip
Lifts it with little Effort
And holds it with a tight Grip

He gets off the worn out Couch
And begins to undo his Tie
Realizing that he has been
Living his life as a Lie

When a Lawyer has gone Home
And the children are in Bed
A stiff drink is mixed and Poured
Drinks it wishing he were Dead

Carousel

A Frog
A Hare
A Horse
A Sled

Spinning
Around
Dizzy
Fat Head

Angels
Aglow
Wish They
Were Dead

Ever
Spinning
Around
Instead

A Frog
A Hare
A Horse
A Sled

Never
For Once
Standstill
To Shed

Foggy
Clueless
With Eyes
A Red

Taken
Aback
From All
Who Bled

A Frog
A Hare
A Horse
A Sled

Have A
Goodnight
And Go
To Bed

The Blacksmith

The soot of Pennsylvania's finest Anthracite fills the air as it burns in a hot stone constructed oven.  The sound of glowing wrought iron clangs onto the horn of an anvil as a heavy hammer pounds down forming horseshoes for the Plowman that sows corn in the village.

A dying art that little know today as the Blacksmith is one in a few that is still willing to rise and shine early in the morning only to get his hands dirty.

Prometheus

 Prometheus (aka: The Hellenic Lucifer)

He was a Titan God who was given a duty of moulding mankind out of clay.  This was only to better the lives of his creation that brought him conflict Zeus (Sky & Thunder God and ruler of all Olympian Gods).  First and foremost was that Prometheus tricked the Gods out of the most enjoyable portion of the Sacrificial Feast in order to obtain the meat for the feasting of man.

At this point Zeus ordered the creation of Pandora (First Woman) to deliver misfortune into all mankind's homes and/or deprive mankind from having the company of good spirits.  This was the punishment for Prometheus as he was arrested and bound to the stake on Mount Kaukasos (Caucasus) where an Eagle was allegedly lured to feed upon his forever regenerating liver or heart.

After many generations have passed, Herakles (Heracles the Great Hero) arrived and released the agonizing Prometheus from his torture.

We sit and think of what will Be
We sit and think Until

We sit and think about Tomorrow
