International Women's Day

Dating back to 1909 in New York organized by the Social Party of America.  This was in remembrance of the 1908 strike of the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union.  The strike to this day is uncertain that it actually happened as some claim it never did.

In later years on March 8th it was celebrated throughout the World as "Civil Awareness Day," "Women and Girl's Day," "Anti-Sexism Day" and "Anti-Discrimination Day."  Today most know it as "International Women's Day" with each year being a specific theme.

This year 2017, "International Women's Day' is the theme for "Women in the Changing World of Work: Planet 50/50 by the year 2030", promoting the theme as "Be Bold for Change."  We enable Women's voices to be heard and giving them control over their own lives and over the future of our World.

Ladies, this day is yours!
