Chevy El Camino

The ride was sweet as you took us wherever we wanted to go.  You were with us on our first date and and you took our first child home from the hospital when he was born.  You turned heads every time we cruised the strip and everyone was in envy of your luster and beautiful shine. 

But after a Drunk had hurt you and took you down, you haven't been the same.  Your injuries were permanent and you without choice could never ride again.  Now you sit quietly hidden by Mother nature who comforts you from the rain.

Your elderly and decrepit state now leaves you to wither away waiting for the day you disappear for good.

A Chair that isn't There

It just wouldn't be Fair

To sit without a Chair

A chair that isn't There

A chair I cannot Share

Now if you stand and Stare

And look beyond the Glare

You may just see a Chair

A chair that isn't There

For those who do not Care

Don't care about a Chair

A chair that isn't There

A chair I cannot Spare

I give you all a Dare

To find one lonely Chair

A chair that isn't There

It just wouldn't be Fair

Graduation Day

Tomorrow the last bell will ring and the last walk will be had through the school house doors.  My youngest will be stepping into a new chapter of life after her Senior Graduation tomorrow and a Summer of celebration.

Some are sad and others are glad as I remember looking ahead into the future never turning back to live in the past.  My Daughter is much like I as she is eager to start her next phase in life that will propel her into greatness and I know for certain that she will be far greater than I ever was or will be.

And so, her new adventure begins...

Happy Father's Day

The courage to raise a Son is what makes you a true Father.  For this the advancement of achievement brings you to be a Grandfather.  Here is when you sit back and see yourself through your Son as you were many years ago.  True fatherhood repeats itself generation after generation without compromise or regret.
