Dangerous Curve

An old hand crafted sign telling me what lies ahead.

It indicates for me to go Slow, for what might be hazardous awaits.  Perhaps like a vicious Snake hidden in the tall grass ready to strike to those who pass by.  But the vicious Snake, lets you know it's hidden, so there's not much of a surprise.  Is it the curve that is truly dangerous or maybe it's actually the driver that gives the curve a bad name?

Proceed with caution for curves might jump out at you and pull you off the road into a place you don't want to be.  You have been warned!

Sea Shanty ~ Rise Again

Scrape her and scrub Her
From Barnacle on her Hull
Chop up the Bait
It's what ye Hate
And give some to the Gull

Rise Again
Ye sail out to Sea

Loyal to six or more Men
More precious than a Whore
Hard we push Her
Yet she still Purr
Drunken Sailor Swore

Rise Again
She sail out to Sea

Sail on gale through stormy Seas
Cresting ninety feet Swell
Cling to the Deck
Fear might ship Wreck
Wading through waves of Hell

Rise Again
Thou shall might Pee

But ye always make it Home
With Maidens awaiting on Shore
With a tight Hug
In bed we Snug
And ye still beggin' for More

Rise Again
She do it for Me
Rise Again

Blasphemy

blasphemy [ˈblasfəmē]
noun (pl. -mies)
The act or offense of speaking sacrilegiously about God or Sacred things; profane talk

Blasphemy!  Oh I do it a lot!  Oh Yes, I expect NOT to PASS/GO and collect what I may think I deserve and Go DIRECTLY TO HELL without much discussion.  It was indicated to me today by a smartly dresses woman that blaspheming  "Jesus, Christ, God" is wicked and that I should stop.  My response back was "Who are you to tell me or anyone else what to do?!  That  my Dear smartly dressed Woman is what you should stop doing!"

Whether you like it or not, blasphemy is part of everyday life.  We’re no longer in the dark ages for God Sakes!  The inquisition or dodging issues like whether a King can change religion is long gone.  Our lives have changed.  Our language has changed.  It always has changed and always will.  Deal with that change, cause it's still changing rapidly before your eyes!  Otherwise we would be "Theeing, Thouing and Forsoothing" all over the place.  Language is about fluidity and cultural identity.  We change with the times and times are endlessly changing from Old English into today's vocabulary that consists of made up words from an Urban Dictionary.

Vernacular changes.  No one is WRONG as no one is RIGHT.  Blaspheming is no different.  If you don’t want to use particular words to enhance a sentence, then don’t.  But, by the same token don’t expect other people to adhere to what you set as YOUR standards.

As for the presumption of me being wicked?  I consider it more as the freedom to be myself and follow my own rules without fear or favortism…  I Swear to God!

The Morning's Sun

The early morning Sun shines through last night's Beer.  Missing you draws me near your Soul as I drown my sorrows in a cheap case of Piss Warm Beer.  The Sun's rays blind my overloaded head that's ready to explode and the tin can taste lingers in my cotton filled mouth that gives me the sensation of socks covering my tongue.  I desperately try to produce saliva to moisten my palette but it's much too arid to comply.  Just as the Sun's rays just crest the tops of the trees, I noticed an unsealed envelope with a letter inside that read:

My Beloved Charlene,

"Your presence not being here is far too much for me to handle as I cannot go on without you.  It seems when I'm completely inebriated it's the only excuse and way I can cope.  My extreme despair and apathy has made me highly considered to take my own life only to be with you again.  However, as been told, that would not the answer for I wouldn't be saved.

My Dearest Charlene, the agony being without you is unbearable and I pray for guidance and the courage to go on.  I know I will be in the good hands of God and I will live the duration of my mission here on Earth.  As for in Heaven we will both be together again in eternal peace.

I love you with all my Heart!
Frank

It seems that the letter was written by myself the week prior watching the Sun rise and drowning my sorrows in a cheap case of Piss Warm Beer!

Bloody Mess

What Would You Do?

You enter a long corridor
At the end you come across this gate
It seems that you cannot retreat the way you came

It's a Bloody Mess

A Stone

A Stone without no Name
A Stone that's not the Same
A Stone that no one Knew
A Stone without a Clue

A Stone not very Tall
A Stone not very Small
A Stone not very Wide
A Stone where someone Died

A Stone alone it Stood
A Stone deep in the Wood
A Stone amid the Shade
A Stone where someone Prayed

A Stone that's Forever
A Stone for Whomever
A Stone for you and Me
A Stone for all to See

A Stone without no Name
A Stone oh, just the Same
A Stone of where we Cried
A Stone where someone Died

Trump or Clinton?

Found these Million-Dollar Bills scattered about today and they read:

FOR WHOM YOU SHOULD VOTE?

First, ask yourself the Million-Dollar question:  Will you go to Heaven when you die?  Here's a quick test:  Have you ever lied, stolen or used God;s name in vain?  Jesus said. "Whoever looks at a Woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with with her in the heart."  If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thriving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell.

But God is not willing that any should perish.  Sinners broke God's Law and Jesus paid their fine by suffering and dying on the cross.  "For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death.

Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift.  Then, while these things can't save you, honor Christ's command to be baptized, and get involved in a good Christian church.

Oh My God...  What does this have to do with the 2016 Election?  Maybe the fact that our choices are both liars?!

Mother and Son

Mother picks up and suckles her Son
Singing a song that rolls off her Tongue
What she sang has already been Sung
Wishing for days when she was still Young

The moment we're born we start to Die
We cannot stay no matter how we Try
The first and last day are the days we Cry
Soaring through clouds ever so High

Son kneels down to embrace his Mother
For she had no Sister, Cousin or Brother
The last words spoken they'll be no Other
From this life we lived now into Another

Curtis Specialty Paper Superfund Site

Twenty year old Woman tragically falls to her death.

It's sad to see when someone loses their life during an exploration in abandoned places.  As an Urban Explorer myself, I don't promote trespassing in dangerous locations and certainly don't promote exploring in the wee hours of the night.

The other day Rachel Elizabeth Curry an adventurous World Traveler had plunged to her death at the young age of twenty.  She was scaling a catwalk and fell near the smokestack at the Curtis Specialty Paper Mill around midnight on September 9, 2016. Speculation is that she lost her balance but nothing has been confirmed.

The paper mill located on the Delaware River in Milford, New Jersey literally on the border of Alexandria Township. has been out of operation since 2003 for contaminating the Soil as well as the Ground Water as it became a Superfund site in 2015.

Many cringe and cannot comprehend the fascination of exploring abandoned places thinking is Morbid and Dangerous...  To them, it's simply Stupid and Unacceptable. Yet, most don't know that there is a thrill seeking such places just like the thrill of Mountain Climbing, Hang Gliding or Jumping out of an Airplane.  Yes, they are dangerous as well though it is accepted.

A sad ending to such a beautiful young life of someone who has seen a lot of the World before her departure.  My condolences to her Family and Loved ones and may she rest in eternal peace!

Drake's Tomb

Looking through the Gothic window of Drake's Tomb

Who is Drake you ask?  Best known for "Devil Dogs," Yodels," "Ring Dings," "Coffee Cakes," "Funny Bones." & "Zoinks!"  Let's not forget my personal favorite, "Fruit Pies" highly enriched with Non-Saturated Fat or as those who don't want it to sound unhealthy: Hydrogenated Oil.

This is where one of the founders: Newman E. Drake (December 16, 1860 ~ May 18, 1930) lay to rest in this humble yet beautiful Mausoleum along with his loving Wife Elizabeth Herben Drake (June 3, 1859 ~ October 29, 1959).  The small details like you see here in the window treatment make it all the more beautiful!

Silence

The Silence in your Head
The Silence when you Stare
The Silence of your Soul
The Silence in the Air

The Silence in your Voice
The Silence when you Cry
The Silence of your Grief
The Silence when you Die

The Silence in your Dream
The Silence that you Dread
The Silence of your Heart
The Silence when you're Dead

Tappan Zee Bridge

Oh, what I love to See
Is that ole Tappan Zee
Stretching over a Sea
From New York to Jersey

A Steel Bridge built with Pride
In our old car we Ride
It's just me with my Bride
We're sitting side by Side

A story that is Told
The Bridge is getting Old
Too many cars to Hold
On Iron that may Fold

Building a Bridge Anew
From the plans someone Drew
Stretching over the Blue
Bringing me back to You

USS Maine

A Young Boy Stands Proud upon the Bow of the USS Maine

The USS Maine entered the Havana Harbor on 25, January 1898 just off shore of where the El Morro Castle Fortress still stands.  A few weeks later on 15, February 1898 an explosion on board ended the ship from sailing again.  It was speculated that the Vessels' six and ten inch guns were detonated from the five tons of Gun Powder that was being carried.  The explosion obliterated the forward third of the ship casing the bow to sink rapidly to the bottom of the harbor.

This National Monument at Columbus Circle in New York City is a tribute to the 261 Officers, Sailors, and Marines who perished that fateful day.  There were only 94 survivors.  The symbolic image of the Boy on the bow is unknown.  Possibly to symbolize Strength and Courage.
