We all know that at times it is very difficult to say the word "Goodbye."  But the simple phase is always mistaken as never seeing each other again...  This might be the case, so we think.

Today I entered the House of the Lord not to awe the beauty of it's architecture or ornate stained glass windows.  I also stopped at a cemetery, not to stroll about the headstones and take photographs that you often see here.  In fact, I didn't have a camera at all.

Today, I came to pay respects to my Best Friend's (Cousin by marriage) Father who passed away.   I kneeled down and cried, not for my Friend's beloved Father who now has entered the afterlife of Eternal Peace, but to those who were close and adored him. Their grieving over a loved Father, Husband, Brother, Grandfather or Uncle pains me terribly as they say what we all think is that final goodbye.

As painful and as sad as it is...  I strongly believe that there's a bright new Angel in Heaven whom will be their Guardian, helping them cope with Life here on Earth.  For there will be a day when their paths will cross as they are truly destined to meet again.

So, until that time they meet again, Goodbye!

Where will you Lay to Rest?

As the early morning sun burns off the fog, the heavy dew clings onto each and every tall blade of grass waiting to evaporate in the warm Sun.  A Bumble Bee clumsily perches on a small flower gathering Pollen as she weighs the long delicate stem down almost making the petals touching the ground.

A lonely headstone atop of a hill overlooks the escarpment of forest, rolling hills and blue skies.  "For this is where I want to lay to rest!"  Quoted prior of departing this World...  And lay to rest they did, this person with no name, no epitaph or origin for their stone is slowly deteriorating.

Faceless headstone for certain yet facing a view others would die for!  Where is your final resting place?

Beyond Closed Doors

What lies beyond the closed doors has always made us curious.  Once the simple suggestion of "Do Not Open" comes to play, our imaginations light up with wonder.

What is it that intrigues us with curiosity that we must know what's inside closed doors that we are forbidden to enter?  You might be so inquisitive and dying to know what's on the other side of those closed doors...

It just might be too late when you find out!

Bar Nuts

Horse walks into a Bar... The Bartender asks: Why the Long Face?"

Two Guys walk in a Bar with Jumper Cables... The Bartender says: "You better not start anything here!"

A Priest, Rabbi and Monk walk into a Bar... The Bartender asks: "What is this a Joke?"

An Amnesiac walks into a Bar... He asks the Bartender: "Do I come here often?"

Oh, I got a million of them and the Ale I'm drinking now is going down a real treat! You’re not drunk if you can lie on the floor and still hang-on!

Belly Up!

Full Service Out of Service

The Service Gas Stations of yesteryear have certainly put today's Econo-Quickie-Marts Stations to shame... The art of Full Service is truly a thing of the past. Yet, there are still only two states in America the have... Well... Semi Full Service Gas Stations. They are New jersey and Oregon.

Not saying that those states have full Customer Service. Do you remember the Service Attendant asking if you needed your oil checked, then wiping the fingerprints off the hood of your car after closing it. How about simply cleaning the windshield with a squeegee all for free? It's gone forever simply by sheer laziness and the fact that it's too much work for what they are paid.

For the rest of you in the other 48 states ... Step out of your vehicle and walk over to the the man in the glass booth talking on his phone in a tongue no one can comprehend, pay him and operate the pump yourself. Be careful not to spill the fuel onto your suit or pretty dress.  If you need change, run back to that gibbering character in the glass booth who acts like you're inconveniencing him to open the register and give back what you deserve.

Oh... If you need air, you better bring a pocket full of change, because it takes a lot of power to generate the pressure you need for you expensive tires.  You're on a timer, so no Dilly Dallying.

Have a Nice Day and Come Again!

Just want to give a heart warmed thanks to Everything Signage for the recognition.  So much appreciated!

Of Sound Mind

Can one Man's mind be adequate to Reason when it comes to Judgment upon ordinary circumstances, like other Rational Men?  Can he uphold the Law that presumably every person who has acquired his ripe old age is of Sound Mind?  What defines a Man being Rational and of Sound Mind?

Perhaps we're living a lie and we're all consumed by complete Insanity!

Granddads and Smokes
Air that can Choke
Pistols and Lust
Car full of Rust

Drive in the Park
Starts after Dark
Backseat for Two
Is where they Woo

Wingtips and Heels
Oh, how it Feels
Feet in the Air
Clothes that will Tear

Headlights flash By
Duck with a Sigh
Pounding of Heart
Turn key to Start

Done with their Play
Now drive Away
Head out to Home
With rusted Chrome

Time well Spent
Cost not a Cent
Fun in the Back
Of Cadillac

Granddads and Smokes
Air that can Choke
Wingtips and Heels
Oh, how it Feels

Everyone is Beautiful

And why is it that we are judged by what we are on the outside?  It's not what's outside that matters, it's what's deep inside our Hearts and Soul. Watch closely for that inner beauty will shine when you least expect it and sweep you off your feet!

Ow! Ooooh!

There's too much Silence
What are we Tongue-Tied
We Just do what they Want
And We'll Never Ask Why
We're All Marionettes
That just Need to be Untied

Don't Stop
Don't Stop Believin'
Don't Stop Dreamin'

Ow! Ooooh!

We Won't Stop
Won't Stop Believin'
We Won't Stop Dreamin'

Don't Let Go!

November 11th

Depending where you are in the World it's a day that marks the anniversary of the end of World War I.  It was; “The War to End All Wars" though unfortunately it didn't.

Today we honor Military Veterans from the past to today. Living or Dead.  All persons who served in the United States Armed Forces.  It coincides with other holidays, including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day.  Take a moment to reflect your Family Members, Friends and/or Loved One who served.

Photographed here is my Great Uncle Robbie who was on Omaha Beach, Normandy France on D-Day, 6, June 1944.  As I vaguely remember his stories when I was a Child, he was one of ten Solders that came home out of his entire Infantry.  Meanwhile in another part of the World my other Great Uncle Paul was M.I.A., captured and placed in a Concentration Camp for quite some time only to show up on his Brother's (my Grandfather's) doorstep a couple years later.  My Father (another Veteran) remembers tales of what he went through.

So, if you see someone today that served or still is active, stop and strike up a conversation, listening and giving them your full attention.  I guarantee you that you'll appreciate what they've done or are doing as well as totally making their day!

Eyes on the Road

And as Joyce was freshening her lipstick through the rearview mirror, she hadn't realized the traffic light turned red. Joyce looked up at the last second when it was too late and slammed into a pickup with an extension latter protruding from the bed that went through her windshield.

Lucky for Joyce, the only thing that was hurt was her pride and a run up the side of her nylon... And her lips... They looked fantastic!

One's Life can Change in a Instant

Imagine yourself alone... No family, no spouse. Just you and sixty plus elderly people in their eighties and nineties. You've made friends who offer only little love, but the love doesn't sit well for they are all in the same predicament.

Then, without warning, you are warned that you have only a few hours to collect what little belongings you have and get on a bus that will arrive and take you away. The destination is uncertain and you will be split up, but you will have food and shelter. Imaging how lonely and disorientated you would feel.

These halls have many tales to tell for it only took one Man's actions to have all the residence forced out against their will. Less than ten years later, the rooms of where the elderly stayed still exist with most of their possessions still in them... Furniture, clothes, books and small personal items still remain, proving that they all left in haste.

The reasons are evident and unfortunate how one person can corrupt and change the lives of others in a minute with no remorse only to be self benefited.

Common sense... What you do to others might and probably will happen to you which ultimately decide your fate in future existences. Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you!

She's ever so Loyal to Me

She may not be young and beautiful...  She may not have the Guys stop and ogle as she passes by.  Yet she is most loyal and never complains wherever I take her.

My Ford Pickup (dubbed: Forsakenly Departed) is slowly rusting away and losing weight due to parts falling off now and then, but she always escorts me home with a warm and loving heart!

On Any Given Day

On any given day on Earth the average of 151,600 lives are lost due to various reasons. Yet the topic always remains a taboo as it's encouraged not to be spoken of unless it's imminent.

However, when we witness a love one on the brink between Life and Death… We conspire, seldom letting our loved ones leave in peace, Our selfishness denies their life to enter into the after life, knowing that we will never see them again? Possibly, it is that we don't actually know what happens after they pass.

I often wonder for I was a victim of selfishness nearly a year ago that I wouldn't let a loved one pass on in peace to the other side. Lifeless as he lay, I desperately tried to bring him back knowing his ultimate fate. Was he watching me from another part of the room as I was being selfish, pounding upon his chest in hopes to keep him here on Earth for just a little while longer.

I look back and think… This was my greatest battle with God, playing Tug-of-War with someone else's Life and Soul. Others tell me that I'm a Saint and now have Angels watching over me. Sounds so confusing and incomprehensible that I often dismiss the thought. But it's Inevitable, God always wins!

On any given day on Earth the average of 360,000 lives are born. Positive thinking right? Maybe it's just me being selfish?!
