Lincoln Continental

Third Generation 1958-60.  In it's time the second most expensive car in the United States.  Like the Ford Edsel, this was a bold design by John Najjar which lost $1,000.00 for every car built.  For a mere $10,000.00 you can cruise in this Luxury Liner with the feeling of royalty. That's over 84K in current dollars.

Excessive Styling at it's best being Fords largest automobiles ever rolling off the assembly line with a wheel base so large that you felt like you were floating on a boat.

Good Friday

He was Dispensed and Rejected by Others
A man of Suffering, and familiar with Pain
Like one from whom People hide their Faces
He was Despised and we held him in low Esteem
Surely he took up our Pain and Bore our Suffering
Yet we consider him Punished by God
Stricken by him and Afflicted

But he was Pierced for our Transgressions
He was Crushed for our Iniquities, the Punishment
That brought us Peace was on Him
And by his Wounds we are Healed
We all like Sheep have gone Astray
Each of us has Turned to our own Way
And the Lord has Laid on him the Iniquity of us All

King of the Woods

Trailer for Sale or Rent
And it won't cost you a Cent
There's no bills, no Utilities
Easy life with no Hostilities

I'll keep dry from the Rain
No place for the water to Drain
A small hole in the Ceiling
Yet free still sounds appealing

You don't need to have any Pride
Just throw the trash right Outside
Trailer for Sale or Rent
And it won't cost you a Cent

You're the King of the Woods

Palm Sunday

He humbly arrived on a feeble young Donkey
Not in Hatred, not to Fight and not in Fear
He came in Peace

So, Today:

Go out into the World in Peace
Go out into the World with Courage
Go and hold onto all that is Good
Return no Person Evil for Evil

Strengthen the Fainthearted
Support the Weak
Help the Suffering
Honor all People

Fart Proudly

There's a side to all of us who have thoughts and ideas that we don't share and reveal to the public for it's considered not politically correct.  Things we were not exposed to in school, for it might be for better or for worse, depending upon the degree of one's prudery.

There is a side to a Scientist, a Printer, and an Inventor that is exposed to the public.  The brilliant philosopher, Benjamin Franklin gives a tribute to the ideal of the Free Press in the United States.  A collection of Witty, Funny, and often Scandalous short pieces on all sorts of human foibles and phenomena.  A book that confirms our country's wisest man was something more than just wise…  He was a wise ass.

"Fart Proudly"
Writings by Benjamin Franklin, you never read in school.

is jealous of every wrinkle in another's nose! "

Happy St. Patrick's Day

May your Troubles be Less
May your Blessings be More
And nothing but Happiness
Come through your Door

Wherever you may Go
Whatever you may Do
May the Luck of the Irish
Will always stay with You

Happy Birthday Forsakenly Departed

It was two years ago today when the name Forsakenly Departed was born.

Within that two years I have met some wonderful people who have the same interest as I within the Taphophilia, Cemetery & Abandoned Urban Explorations.  It's amazing how many people out there who are avid about these two genres that live in my back yard and/or work with along with those I connected with around the World.  People just seem to come out of the, um... Woodwork.

Last August I launched my website forsakenlydeparted.com which is updated on the first of every month.  Other ideas are on the rise and will be revealed in due time.

I personally want to thank everyone for all the Love & Support that you have given me throughout the first two years and those who have inspired me to launch my website not letting my photographs go to waste in a hard drive that collects dust.

If you are not on the Forsakenly Departed Monthly Newsletter and want to be, simply contact me through my Website, Blog or Instant Message and request to be.  You'll be on the list in time for April's Newsletter.

Love & Peace to All!

Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 4877

The Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 4877 is undeniably majestic and stunning today as she was when rolled out in 1939.  Restored by Star Trak Inc. Boonton, New Jersey, this beauty may not be in full operation but can be viewed and admired in awe to those whom seek her out!

Not Feeling Myself

Sometimes I have days when I'm just not feeling myself...

And sometime I like it!

Prost

Not your Unkle Steve's typical post...  But...

What a Spring like day with the Sun shinning, Birds chirping and the Bees humming to the ill-regular March temperatures that reached the mid seventies.  So what better way to indulge in this warm weather tease than being comfortable on the front porch sippin' a Bavarian Doppelbock.

Tis the Season for such a delicious festivity that's goin' down a real treat!

"Prost!"

Winged Death Head

In memory Of
A mourned Winged Death Head
Who's letting you Know
Here you will be Led
The moment you're Born
From where you were Bred
From the start of Life
Ultimately Dead

Here lies the Body
Of one who's so Grand
Winged Death Head takes Us
Without being Planned
Our Souls rise Upward
High above the Land
And leaves our Bodies
Deep under the Sand

In memory Of
The one you Adored
Just follow the Song
Strummed the Angel's Chord
Your Soul is now Free
The light you're led Toward
To eternal Peace
To be with the Lord

Laughter is the Best Medicine

I don't why, but I always find myself laughing like a Lunatic Circus Clown to other's misfortunes...  Stupid things like when someone bumps their head, walks into a wall or trips unexpectedly.  It's not what happens that I'm laughing at, it's their reaction as they have to look around in hopes they weren't seen performing their uncontrollable display.

This evening I'm walking to my truck across the parking lot and see a Guy sailing across the ice with feet flying crazily in an upward motion making himself completely airborne.  Shopping bags flung in all directions as he is laying flat on his back on the wet, icy asphalt.  Of course my first reaction is to help him up and make sure he's alright.  This Gentleman...  Or let me just say Guy didn't want any help getting up as he was being stubborn and belligerent, refusing any assistance at all.  I think because he knew I saw what happened. Every time I tried to hold his arm and try to assist, the more angrier he got as he bluntly told me that he's fine and didn't need my help.  So I just stood there quietly until he was up and stable enough to walk on his own.

Though his act of going down for the count wasn't funny, his reaction was hilarious!  I walked slowly to my truck fighting ever so desperately not to crack...  But once I was in my truck and shut the door, I bursted out cracking up like a Mad Man.  If anyone would have seen me, they would have classified me as one.

Please tell me, I can't be the only one who laughs at these unexpected misfortunes of others!

Tricycle

A Trike with one Wheel
And rusted red Steel
Her center off Keel
Chipped paint that will Peel

How long must one Bide
As hard as one Tried
One just cannot Ride
How one must of Cried

Though one may not Like
One now has to Hike
For that little Trike
Is No more a Bike

Profanity House ~ Rutherford Stuyvesant Estate

Used, Abused, Molested & Tested

To enter is at your own risk for the words are so humiliating, so vulgar, that it might take a lifetime to digest what was written from a Foul-Mouthed Fury of a person.

This is Profanity House
