Ghost in the Window

She stands in the window peering Out
A ghostly image without a Doubt
She has been there since the house was Built
Murdered by the hands that had no Guilt

Look to the window she gazes Through
Telling stories you already Knew
Of her Father with a violent Mind
And her Mother who was never Kind

Come to her home, she is always There
Gazing below with a vacant Stare
Come inside to hear the music Play
A haunting tune begging you to Stay

Walk in her bedroom and take a Chance
See her twirling in an endless Dance
The love she had is forever Passed
Hatred she has will forever Last

Death Follows

The fear of Death Follows
From the fear of Life
Taking me to the Hallows
Free from all the Strife

One who lives Completely
Prepares to die any Time
Leaving so Discretely
On the Knell's tenth Chime

Look ahead to the Sky
Through a dampened Shroud
Spread your wings and Fly
Way beyond the Cloud

Timber Rattlers

It's Mating Season

Well, for the Timber Rattlers anyway!  There's only two poisonous Snakes in New Jersey and I got em both.  The Copperhead and the Timber Rattler.  This beautiful Rattler was enjoying the heat from the rock that was basking in the Sun all day.

Right now in New Jersey these docile Creatures are on the move for some Summer Romance.  Don't let these shy Reptiles fool you.  When handled or feeling threatened, they can lunge out quite a distance at you and bite with a punch that can lay you out for several days.

If in the event this does happen, remain calm and call 911.  Do not drive yourself to the Emergency Room.  Keep the bit clean with antibacterial soap and water and keep the area of the bite immobile and lower than your heart.  Do not suck the venom out, cut around the wound or cover with ice.  Only apply a tourniquet if it will take longer than thirty minutes for Medics to reach you.

Timber Rattlers are endangered and part of New Jersey's Department of Environmental Protection program.  It is illegal to kill, handle or harass these quiet beautiful Reptiles.  Like much of the wild wherever you live, simply be aware and respect it!

Lead me not Astray

Looking up and over I can see the deep ravine mimicking the sky exactly the way Hell mimics Heaven.  A mere equal, yet of a darker identity that clings on the brink of magnificent.  Antagonizing anyone to take one final step into perdition.  The sinister lure can manipulate one in such a way that it's not realized until it's too late.

I rest and ponder of what will be when I reach the fine line between the Light of Good and the Darkness of Evil.  Will I cross that fine line, or will I stand strong and let the hands of God lead me not astray?

The Paranormal Double of a Living Person
I never see my Doppelgänger, however others claim they do.

A few years ago I was on a ship during a family reunion.  People kept running into me saying:  "Everywhere we go, you seem to be there!"  I know I'm a fast mover and quick on my heels, but didn't think I was that mobile.

On the second day, my own Mother and Father saw who they thought was me as they tried to capture my attention by waving and screaming.  But it wasn't me they saw.

One the third morning people were coming up to me congratulating me on a stellar performance I had done on stage the night prior.  I was watching the show they referred to on Hypnotism from the audience.  It wasn't me on stage.

On the fourth evening my Wife saw me on the ship's Closed Circuit Television in the background of a life broadcast.  I was in the cabin with my Wife watching the same broadcast.  Again, it was not I she saw.

Who was this Paranormal phenomenon, this apparition if you will who everyone thought was me?  Is there really such a thing as Doppelgänger portraying my evil twin?  Or possibly a triplet?!

Through the Eyes of the Beholder

Through the eyes of the Beholder
Is where the beauty Lies
As we age and grow Older
Our love never Dies

Through the eyes of the Beholder
Precious moments are Caught
When you cry on my Shoulder
For comfort you have Sought

Through the eyes of the Beholder
The feel of her Presence
The flame that will never Smolder
Taken by her Essence

Through the eyes of the Beholder
Is where the beauty Lies
Still we age and grow Older
Our love never Dies

Mark 666

What year is it?

If you don't know
Simply add it up to figure it out by adding:
666 + 666 + 666 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 2016

And just for the record:
Nowhere in the Bible does it say the mark of the beast is 666
It is a number to identify the Beast
It doesn't say it's an actual or physical Mark

But one thing I will say is true
Today Marks Forsakenly Departed's 666 Post since it's launch in March 2014
Now that is something to celebrate about

Out of Order

"Would you like us to check the oil Miss?"

"Um, I'm sorry Miss, the Woman's bathroom is out of order,
we have the key for the Men's room if you wish."

Ah Miss, please don't forget your H&S Green Stamps!"

"Have a nice Day Miss!"

Movin' On

The White Line is the Life Line to our Nation
Livin' like a Gypsy always on the Go

It takes a special Breed to Haul Ass in a Rig
And nerves of Steel to pull the Load Behind

Thirteen and a half feet Tall
Seventy feet Long
Forty tons of Dead Weight

Yeah...  It takes three Football Fields to Stop
We will never say:
"It's just a Fender Bender!"

Siamese Cats

The Attributes of an Ape
The Bravery of a Lion

An unlikely tale of an Ape and a Lion mating to produce the first Cat.  A visual that leaves much to the imagination and can make someone shudder of the mere thought.

The Siamese Cat originated in Thailand, formerly known as Siam.  Held in such high esteem in their native country that no one except the King himself and Members of the royal family were permitted to own them.   They were originally known as Royal Points.

Guardians of the Temples...  When a person of high rank passes on, it was known to select a Siamese Cat to take on the Soul of the deceased.  Removed from the royal family and sent to the Temple to spend the rest of its days living a ceremonial life of blissful luxury as the Monks and Priests would now become the Cat's Servants.  They were in such high regard, that the Siamese Cats were treated better than Royalty.

Now being in the Temple receiving good Fortune and Blessings, they developed special powers hat could intercede for the Soul of the deceased bringing Harmony to the Temple and to those who visit.  "We are Siamese if you please" and not considered; Mean, Sneaky, Stand Offish, Snobbish, Un-Loyal nor Prone to Ill Health.

Siamese Cats are Family and will stand by you!

Pact with the Devil

Be careful what you wish for and who you ask

Making a deal with the Devil is something to recon with and with an ante so high it will cost you your Soul.  What possess one to make a pact with the Devil?  Usually for self gain and worth filled by greed in the most dishonest way.

Take a chance as so many others did with Satan and see how your odds turn up. Many have made a pact with the Devil only to have their Soul taken for all eternity. Just a few names of note who...  Well, allegedly sold their Soul to the Devil.

  • St. Theophilus of Adana for rectifying a declining Social and Political Advancement in exchange for the cleric renounce of Christ and the Virgin Mary in a contract spelled out in his own blood.
  • Robert Johnson gained Music prowess on the Crossroads at Midnight from the Devil. In return, Mr. Johnson died at an early age of 27 to pay the Devil his dues...  His Soul.
  • Nicolò Paganini for musical greatness with the Violin in exchange for his Soul and the denial of a proper burial upon his death
  • Giuseppe Tartini as well made a pact with the Devil for musical greatness with the violin.  Dueling Violins with the tune "Devil's Trill Sonata," that Giuseppe desperately tried to play to no avail.  It was the last song he listened to on his death bed as his Soul was being swept away by the Devil
  • Urbain Grandier for the Love of Women, the Flower of Virgins, the Respect of Monarchs, Honors, Lusts and Powers all in exchange for the Priest's Allegiance.
  • Brigadier General Jonathan Moulton for striking a financial deal with the Devil in exchange for eternal devotion and retention of his Soul.
  • Antoine Rose known as the Witch of Savoy, France, claimed that she had been destitute and in dire need of money only to be influenced to ask the Devil for help.

Test your luck with the Devil and let me know how it turns out!

When our Backs are up Against the Wall

It often happens when our backs are up against the wall

We turn on those who Love us
We say things that we will Regret
We make irrational decision that are Unwise
We act with Desperation rather than Wisdom
We turn away from God rather than toward Him

People of Israel began to panic as Pharaoh and his army were seen marching in the distance towards them.  The people cried out to the Lord for help as they turned to Moses and complained. "Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness?  Out Egyptian slavery was far better than dying out here in the wilderness!"  The people continuously ranted anticipating their fate.

Moses, who knew that God had a plan.  Yet, he had no idea what it was and still said to the people:  "Don"t be afraid.  Just stand where you are and watch the Lord rescue you.  The Egyptians that you see today will never be seen again.  The Lord himself will fight for you. You won't have to lift a finger in your defense!"

Cow Appreciation Day

It was back in 1995 when it all started.  "The Cow Revolution" When Herds of Beef Cattle across the Nation decided to take a stand for the future of the Bovine race. They've had enough and will not stand for it.  Far more intelligent than the others, Heff R. Jones (now known as Eaton Birds) took his limited grasp of his owner’s language and painted “EAT MOR CHIKIN” on a billboard.

With this daring move he set in motion a movement among Cows everywhere, to encourage us to eat more Chicken, so we wouldn’t be eating them. Cow Appreciation Day commemorates Heff (I’m sorry, we mean Mr. Birds) and everything he’s done for Cattle Kind.

An amusing story indeed, but ultimately "Cow Appreciation Day" was the clever brainchild of the Chik-Fil-A company, creating the story of the daring Cow to encourage people to skip their favorite burger joint, and come to their local Chik-Fil-A instead. Little did people know that indulging in this bit of fanciful celebration would introduce them to a fundamental truth about fast food.

So today above all days is the one day we stand together and put aside that side of Beef and cluck up the Chicken.  Not necessarily have to go to Chik-Fil-A...  Maybe praise Stuckey's or possibly Buffalo Wild Wings!

Cluck Up & Cluck You!

Running and Running

The light switch is On
Yet lamps are all Out
Your scream is so Loud
No one hears you Shout

You run for the Door
But doors are all Locked
Your mind is Confused
Now frantically Shocked

The faster you Race
The slower you Go
Running and Running
Legs move so Slow

Try and Comprehend
Your scared restless Mind
Try to get Ahead
Just to fall Behind

The light switch is On
Yet lamps are all Out
You'll never Escape
That's without a Doubt

Walk by Faith

I heard a tale quite some time ago
To my recollection it goes as follows:

A Father takes his young teen Son into the forest and sits him down onto a rock.  He blindfolds his Son and tells him that he must remain sitting on the rock blindfolded throughout the night.  The blindfold should not be removed until the morning Sun's first rays of light shine through.  The Father also tells his Son that he will be left alone and cannot cry out for help regardless how frightened he may be.  If the Son lasts through the night without leaving the rock or taking the blindfold off, he will become a Man.  The Father also made his Son vow never to tell anyone about his experience to other Boys for they have to go into Manhood on their own without aid.

The Boy sat there with the blindfold covering his eyes as he could sense the night getting pitch black.  The wind swiftly blew through the trees making them creak as they rocked back and forth and the sound of wings flapping just above him ran chills up and down his spine.  The Boy was naturally terrified as the howling of beasts were distant in the forest becoming closer and louder.  Grunts, yelps, whining and snorting were down by his feet as the Boy desperately tried to ignore whatever was happening so not to break his vow of crying for help or running away.  He was determined to remain seated and blindfolded to become a Man at daybreak.

The time had finally come as the Boy saw daylight peering through his blindfold.  He reached around his head untying the blindfold as he looked around.  It was then he saw his Father sitting there on a rock next to him.  His Father was there the entire time at watch making sure no harm would come to his Son.

The Father explains, even when we don't know it, God and his Guardian Angels are watching over us and sitting on the rocks beside us.  As when we feel fear or in harms way, we are being protected.  The Father's last words before announcing his Son into Manhood were:  "Just because we cannot see God or the Guardian Angels who watch over us, doesn't mean they are not there.  For we walk by Faith and not by sight!"

God's House

I slowly and reluctantly walked up the long narrow walkway leading to the House of the Lord.  The cold wind was howling through the tree stems as dead leaves swirled in a circular pattern on the frost covered grass.  Looking up I watched the clouds rapidly blowing eastward over the steeple.  Walking up the crumbled brick stairway, I wrapped my overcoat tightly around my neck to keep the chill off my nape.

My heart was racing and my hands were shaking as I hesitated for a moment.  Then slowly opening the tall church doors they creaked like a haunted house from a horror movie.  The strong fragrance of Frankincense wafted the air as the thick haze filled the cathedral ceiling.

Much too apprehensive to approach the alter I stayed out of sight near the back of the nave sitting in the last pew.  A prayer was spoken of Life, Hope and Truth, then a second interrupted by singing psalms.  I was feeling obligated to sing along though I didn't know the words.  A thick book miraculously laid before me already bookmarked to the page of what was being sung.  I opened the book and started to sing, singing louder and louder feeling the words coming from my heart with such strong emotion, it almost brought tears to my eyes.

All was quiet with a final prayer and everyone walked out without saying a single word. The air was silent except for the creaking entrance door that everyone exited. Staying behind after the final slamming of the doors I sat all alone in that last pew and stared at the massive crucifix that hung just behind the alter.  The power of a tale I'm not even certain is true had such an impact on my Life, filled with Hope and Truth.

It literally scared the "Hell" right out of me!

Behind the Wheel

When behind the wheel I very much feel like I'm driving in a video game.  I always succeed my missions on getting from point A to point B.  Because I'm focused on getting to my destination in one piece.

Several others fail at this relatively simple task when they're behind the wheel.  They are focused not on the mission to get to their destination, but on the radio station, applying makeup, texting of what beauty sits in the next car.

This breaks their wheel and ultimately brings them to Terminus...  Game Over!

Fourth of July ~ America's Birthday

We have made tough choices in the past
We have made some really bad mistakes
Yet, when we are down on our luck
And it seems the hard times will never end
We still keep our chins up and stand as one
Coming together and doing whatever it takes
To keep our ever lasting Freedom

To our great Nation
The United States of America
Even though our Liberty had stumbled
Our honor had never fallen
We ARE and WILL remain the Land of the Free
But ONLY so long as it remains
The Home of the Brave.

Happy Birthday America
God Bless & Let Freedom Ring

Phantom Truck of Clinton Road

Rated by many the top five most Creepiest and Haunted roads in World.

If you're driving late at Night
And you see a truck that's Black
You better start Speeding
And never look Back

Clinton Road has a long history of lore, legends, hauntings and death.  A list far greater than on can imagine.  The road stretches ten miles through winding curves and dense forest with just a few side streets at the beginning and end.  There is nowhere to turn off between.  Thus, nowhere to run.

One of the most known legends is the Phantom Truck, a black pickup that comes out of nowhere and tailgates you, trying to run you off the road.  If you accelerate, the pick up is quick on your heels and moves even closer scaring the wits out of you as it's bright high beams blind you through your rear view mirror.  The chase can last several minutes as you're convinced that someone is truly trying to run you off the road,  Then, in a blink of an eye, the Black Phantom pickup is gone.

Some say the legend comes from the ghost of an old angry man who when was alive valued his privacy not wanting anyone to disturb him.  He didn't want anyone on or near his property and would chase anyone away when they did.  He died of a massive Heart Attack and legend has it today that his ghost still lingers the area chasing anyone who comes near where he lived.  Some claim as when he's chasing you in his black pick up, gun shots are fired.  The story varies through the generations and location.

So if you're in northern New Jersey and happen to be on Clinton Road sometime during the darkest part of night, you better keep an eye on what comes up behind you...  It might just be the Phantom Truck!

Good & Evil

It is impossible not bring Darkness
In a place where there is Light
Yet, just a mere spark of Light
Can make a pitch black room no longer Dark

As we all know there isn't Good without Evil
And we all know Evil is Dark
And now I have seen the Light
For Good is more powerful than Evil

Let the Light Reign over Darkness
