No Officer, I have not been drinking tonight.

Yes Officer, that is my boat I'm pulling behind me.

Yes Officer, those two Men in the boat are with me.

Well, Officer they didn't want to leave.

They claim the fishing was too good.

Yes Officer, they were and still are drinking.

Well Officer, I'm the designated driver.

Yes Officer, I will tell them to exit the boat.

I'm sorry Officer, I had no idea.

So it is illegal to have my friends in the boat?

I understand Officer, only when pulling the trailer.

Um, Officer, the boat isn't on a trailer?

Yes Officer, I understand it's required.

This explains the drag my pickup been suffering.

Black Cat Appreciation Day

Today marks a unique day for Felines.  It's Black Cat Appreciation Day.  Not to be mistaken for October 27th's Black Cat Day.

The Black Cat deserve the love and companionship they deserve and not be shunned by old fabricated lure.  Black Cat Appreciation Day was launched to show people that a Black Cat could be the perfect Cat for them, and help raise awareness about Black Cats in general.

Brown Prionid Beetle

Sitting on the front porch late last night with my Cousin enjoying a nice Arturo Fuente Cigar, this little guy stopped by to visit.  Possibly wanted to share a fine stoggie with us...  Well, this cool looking guy actually wasn't little, but more like three inches or so long not including antenna.  Thought maybe it was a type of Longhorn Beetle.

I later looked up to see who he was and discovered it's was a Brown Prionid Beetle (Orthosoma Brunneum).  I found little info on this Beetle other than they breed on Utility Poles and Railroad Ties as well as decaying trees and logs.

They rub their hind legs against their wings giving off a squeaky sound when feeling threatened.  Those jaws sure do look like they could create some damage!
