Skating to Records

The lights fade as the records start to spin while you tighten the last strap on you skate anxiously waiting to start rolling to the tunes that make you feel alive.  You stand and instantly feel a bounce in your legs launching your adrenaline and pulling you like a Sled Dog across the Rink's floor gliding like you're floating on air.

The music never stops and you can skate forever without a care in the world.  But sadly those days are long gone overpowered by the electronic age of compressed digitized music.  The forgotten Rinks have been torn apart and fabricated into struggling short staffed Big Box Stores desperately trying to keep their doors open.

Yet, there are an elite few that still spin the black and roll the steel reminiscing the days of carefree bliss.
